Thoughts on the Wild Robot movie
I came into this movie expecting a grest movie.
Did I get that? Lets see.
The movie has 2 main differences. Fink is now a main character, and the ending is different.
First however, lets talk about Roz's design.
In the book, she looks like a humanoid, while in the movie, she looks much more like a robot. I personally didn't like this change in the beginning, but it grew on me.
Now lets talk about Fink.
Fink is a very minor side character in the orginal, however in the movie he is a major character, helping Roz teach Brightbill.
Roz and Fink fail to teach him well, and here is one of 2 big diffrences.
Brightbill doesn't behave like a robot in the book, and is taken in by Longneck for swimming practice.
In the movie, Brightbill thinks he is a robot, is only taken in by Longneck by the time he knows how to fly.
The biggest diffrence is the ending, where Roz and Brightbill reunite in a industrial farm.
In the book, the story ends with Roz arriving at a small farm.
Overall, I'd give the movie a 8/10.
